After her infant brother is abducted by a murder of crows, a headstrong teenager named Prue McKeel launches a rescue mission into the Impassable Wilderness—a dangerous, enchanted forest hidden right beyond Portland, Oregon. Accompanied by her classmate Curtis, Prue is drawn into a secret world teeming with talking animals, bandits, and powerful, grieving rulers. As a brutal war begins to brew, Prue must find the inner strength to save her brother and protect the fragile future of the forest.
While this movie was definitely too long - like at least 30 minutes too long - it was still a very enjoyable watch. The animation was different and great. The morals of the story for kids were great and honestly could help parents with several teachable moments. And the fantasy aspect of the movie while still keeping it grounded was very impressive.
I would definitely recommend people checking this movie out. It was a great movie that could have been even better if it was tightened up a bit but still great.
