In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.
This movie was just plain fun. It wasn't overdone and explanatory. It wasn't non-stop gore and over the top visuals. They were definitely there but it wasn't constant. There were a ton of laughs and the lead actor was honestly perfectly cast as the WTF is going on misfit. It was done in a way where he pretty much represented people playing the video game and how they would react to see the things in the game. And most importantly the pacing was awesome because the movie was barely 90 minutes long and so much actually happened in that time that there was no chance for dead time or lagging.
I would definitely recommend people checking this out. This was a very fun watch and easily my favorite Resident Evil movie by far.
