The Northman

Prince Amleth is on the verge of becoming a man when his father is brutally murdered by his uncle, who kidnaps the boy's mother. Two decades later, Amleth is now a Viking who raids Slavic villages. He soon meets a seeress who reminds him of his vow -- save his mother, kill his uncle, avenge his father.

This movie played kind of weird for me.  It was good BUT it felt too much like it should have been a tv series instead of a film and the movie was all about the filming style not the substance.  Don't get me wrong because the filming style was SO GOOD and made the movie worth watching just because of how it was done visually.  However, that being done led to the story not being as strong or making you care about the character's journey.

I would somewhat recommend people checking this movie out.  It a decent overall watch and a great watch filmmaking wise but was too lacking to get a total endorsement.
