Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the "Punisher Task Force" hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.
Why is it so hard to make a good Punisher movie!?! I was a huge fan of the Punisher comic book series and couldn't wait for them to put him on this big screen. Granted, this attempt isn't as bad as the original Dolph Lundren one from years back but it makes the last attempt with Thomas Jane as the Punisher look like a phenomenal movie by comparison. This movie just decided to up the gore in terms of the Punisher's attacks and the corniness of Jigsaw was beyond atrocious. I couldn't even make it through the whole movie. I pulled the plug when Jigsaw's brother started throwing himself in to mirrors to cheer up Jigsaw because he didn't like the way he looked in them. Seriously. That happened. Go back and read that again and ask yourself if you should ever see this.
I wouldn't recommend this movie to my worst enemy. Its a downright piece of steaming dung and is an insult to Punisher fans.
