Lily Bloom moves to Boston to chase her lifelong dream of opening her own business. A chance meeting with charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid soon sparks an intense connection, but as the two fall deeply in love, she begins to see sides of Ryle that remind her of her parents' relationship. When Lily's first love, Atlas Corrigan, suddenly reenters her life, her relationship with Ryle gets upended, leaving her with an impossible choice.
I had no idea how huge of a female following this movie had as it went from book to screen. It is very much a "chick flick." A lot of emotions. A lot of heartstrings. But it is still a very good watch. There are plenty of hooks to keep you invested and the casting was really really good. I have always been a fan of Blake Lively and this was a perfect vehicle for her.
I would definitely recommend all females seeing this as the message is very much needed. I would also recommend most guys see it with them to understand certain things about what or how they do things to get a better understanding of their actions.
