I Know What You Did Last Summer

When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. One year later, the past comes back to haunt them as they learn someone knows what they did last summer. Stalked by a mysterious killer, they soon seek help from two survivors of the legendary Southport massacre of 1997.

Okay.  I'm going to kind of spoil something I guess to stress how incredibly dumb this reboot or whatever it was of a horror franchise that absolutely nobody was asking for was.   In the original - the teenagers hit someone with their car killing him and having to keep that secret.  At least that was a valid secret to base everything on.   In this one - they are on the road when a guy swerves and goes off the cliff all on his own.   There was no crime.  There was no murder.   There was no need for any secret at all of what they "did" last summer.   And this was like 15 minutes in.  Right from that I was kind of done with this movie since the title and whole premise were irrelevant.   Because last summer what they did was . . . . . absolutely nothing.   They witnessed an accident.  That's it.   No crime whatsoever.   From there it was just incredibly horrible acting and some of the cheesiest dialogue in a long time.

I wouldn't recommend anyone watching this.   Like ever.   Because again - they didn't do anything last summer.   Just saying.
